Winter does not mean you have to hibernate inside all season. Here are some of the best winter date ideas to embrace the cold weather and get into holiday spirit with the person you want underneath the mistletoe.

1) Build gingerbread houses.

Making gingerbread houses with your significant other can be a great way to figure out who the better candy house builder is amongst the two of you. Make it a competition, whoever wins has to make the other person an eggnog.

2) Go skating.

Skating with your significant other during the holidays is a great way to get some exercise and join in the classic holiday activities. If you don’t have skates no worries, if you have a local rink, chances are you can rent some skates from there. Look into where you can go skating in your area and where you can get some skates beforehand.

3) Go snowshoeing.

Snowshoeing the perfect date if you want to do something unique. If you live in a snowy climate, snowshoeing is a great to get out in the snow and do a winter activity with your love. Chances are your date has never been snowshoeing, so this is a great unique date idea that your lover will appreciate.

6) Drive around to look at Christmas lights.

Admire the best Christmas lights in your city with your date. It’s fun to look at other people’s Christmas light decorations and displays; especially if they go all out. Throw on your Christmas Playlist in your car, sip a peppermint hot chocolate, and enjoy the Christmas lights!

7) Go sledding.

Grab a toboggan and head out on your towns snowiest hill. A great date to enjoy the cold and have some fun no matter how old you are.
