The Importance of Helping Each Other
Last night I had the realization that I truly get to help more people and I encourage you to do the same. We really need each other. I don’t say this with that undertone of spiritualism that can be mistaken when this statement is said. I mean we really get to help each other and need each other to survive. I know life cannot be easy, at times. I want to know if being nice to each other can help us? I adore children because a lot of them are very happy exploring the world and learning all about this gift we received. Adults don’t smile as much as I would like to see. Society says you’re born, you go to school, you graduate, you go to college or not, you work from 18 to 60, you retire, and “this is the life.” In between all of this fluff, we can do all of this (or not and create a truly fulfilling life), and treat each other as humans.

Friendships
Having friends, being a friend, and friendships are arduous for me. Oftentimes I see myself feeling annoyed, judging, or comparing myself to the friendships I have experienced. In this moment I counted on my hands how many women I could truly say to myself have been a friend to me, whether our relationship is intact or transformed for us to go our separate ways. The number is under 10 women, and before I would think how lame of me to not have an overwhelming amount of friends or people that know me. As I have gotten older I see my relationship to women in friendships have been a struggle because of the relationship to my mother. Although my relationship with my mother has changed in ways that support us, I continue to come to a road block with some of the women I choose to bring in my life as friends.

Self Love Is All Love
December 2018, I had a profound realization that I do love myself. Maybe it was the psychedelic mushrooms coursing through my blood stream, or maybe that feeling I waited my whole life for was true in that moment. I thought to myself, as the tears slid down my cheeks and the vibrations of feeling fully radiated off of my skull, is this what it feels like to love myself?

Loving the Humans Who Created You
My mother and sister on my sister's wedding day The relationship between my mother and I has evolved and blossomed and it was not always easy to get to where we are today. It took me more than half of my life to realize that my mother really did everything that she could to the best of her abilities. She worked hard, she protected me, and she made me the woman I am in this moment. I had to break down the walls of my ego, judgement, and blaming tendencies for taking all that I received from her during my childhood and perpetuate it into the world around me.

Flow
We are halfway through this year and so much closer to 2020 than we know, flow is a state that humans get to enter if they choose it. Why not? Why not break the cycles of what society continues to feed us? Why not step into the space of presence and look into who you are and what is your purpose? The answers to the question I seek are inside of me. Always, in all ways. In the times where the world and specifically our country (USA) feels lost, hopeless, and uneventful, NOW is the time to tap into the person that was born and CAN make a difference in this world. One person is all it takes to change an experience or situation for all and although it may seem impossible, it is very possible for you or I to make that difference. My favorite way to tap in is... HOOP DANCE.
