The Importance of Professionalism at Work
A lot of my friends on social media are angry that their purple hair and facial piercings prevent them from getting a job or getting taken more seriously at work. They’re overlooked when it’s time for a promotion or just never called back after the first initial interview. They complain and want to make changes in society or at least make employers more relaxed on this particular matter.

Dude, That’s Not a Brag...
Today in the United States, everything has a label and these labels cause a huge divide among us as a society. It’s getting harder to have personal conversations at work or school without conflict, especially after the recent Trump win. These labels immediately cause conflict...a man mentions hunting and suddenly he is racist, a woman down the hall is gay so she must love Hillary and disrespect the troops. These claims are simply not true! What ever happened to being judged by our individual merit, work ethic, and character? We seem to prejudge people so we can become pleasantly surprised when they don’t disappoint us, but are we so weak that we must protect ourselves in this way? There is a better solution: make friends with everyone, but lead by example.

Suicidal Ideation
Alarm goes off, you hate the sound. You sink deeper into the bed. You didn’t even want to go to sleep last night and now you suddenly don’t want to get out.. you roll your eyes at yourself for this and get up. It’s cold, you hate the feeling. You go to the bathroom and turn on the light, it’s shockingly bright and you hate it. You dislike the very act of using the toilet. You hate the sound of the toilet paper and the feel of it against your skin between your legs. You pull up your underwear, it never seems to fit quite right. Then your pants. You turn and flush the toilet. You hate the noise. You hate that you don’t know where this goes and that piss is mostly ammonia so you probably just killed a fish. You turn on the sink, hating that even going to the bathroom is such a long to do list, you wash your hands and rinse. Turn off the sink and get a towel to dry your hands, they can never seem to get all the way dry before it’s uncomfortable you’ve been attempting long enough.

What Makes Someone Successful
Average, everyday people who are attempting to better themselves or raise their income will often seek advice from high-earning people with prestigious careers. It makes sense to ask someone with success, “How do I become successful?” because they will offer detailed advice from their experience that will certainly be useful... but when you DO reach success, whose opinion of that success (or the journey towards it) matters most? Our children!
