Operation 36-AB
It's the night of the mission. There are exactly 72 crew members on deck, 11 oxygen tanks, and an abundance of mysteries to be solved. Operation 36-AB was almost in session. It was Tuesday, the first of October. The seas crashed upon the ship like fire attacking fresh wood, the moon barely peeking out behind the clouds.

How Much Homework Do You Have?
The American education system is putting unnecessary amounts of academic stress on their youth. Students are developing anxiety as a result of the immense pressure to do well. The thought of student debt drives students to odd wishes, like hoping for a school bus to run them over to eliminate their student loans. Caffeine has become the best friend of too many students staying up late to finish their homework.

Enough
Do you have any idea of what happened on February 14th, 2018? People got up in the morning to get ready for school and work. Parents and older siblings made breakfast. Pets were taken out in the early morning. Neighbors greeted each other with a still-half-asleep smile. Students checked their phone for messages from their cousins asking if they were still attending their basketball game that evening. Others texted each other to make sure they grabbed their costume props for dress rehearsal that night. Some put on some of their nicer apparel for Valentine's Day. Younger siblings whined to their parents, asking them why their older brother isn't forced to sit and eat breakfast before school. Outside, a car is pulling up with someone's best friend to give them a ride to school. Parents kissed their children goodbye and reminded them of their curfew. Teenagers mumbled a quick "Love you too" and made their way to school.

Medical Marijuana Vs Alzheimer's
What is Alzheimer's disease? Alzheimer's disease is a mental deterioration in seniors that causes severe memory loss. How is the brain affected? Well, a normal brain will slowly shrink with aging. Yet, neurons will not die off in large numbers. During Alzheimer's, the chemical and electrical communication between neurons in the brain are grossly distorted. This results in the death of cells. The hippocampus portion of the brain is in charge of making new memories. However, when Alzheimer's takes over, this area of the brain is exceptionally vulnerable. The hippocampus will begin to shrink up. Dementia Care Central explains this process, "Picture a large city with all its lights on. Each home, street, and shopping center has its own light switch... Now imagine that a problem occurs with the wiring or circuits... Each home, street, and shopping center gradually loses power and the people are unable to carry on as normal. It eventually becomes harder to cook dinner, drive through the city, and do business in stores." This anecdote shows the strain it would take for someone with dementia to constantly perform daily tasks without fail when all of the circuits are frayed. Ever hear the phrase "lights are on but nobody's home?" Yep, that has also been used to describe dementia.

From Oatmeal Cookies to Soup on a Plate
My grandfather is a retired Navy Chief of 30 years. He has always told his favorite Navy stories. When I was little I used to get tired of the same story over and over again, but now I crave to hear the story of how his buddies gave his friend a swirly for losing a bet just one more time.

Save Animal's Lives—Say No to That Eyeshadow!
Take a moment to think about your daily routine. You get up, groan about school /work, and take a shower. You use Head and Shoulders for that awful dandruff, or Dove for that silky, smooth feeling. You get out of the shower and step onto your bath mat made from 100 percent wool. You brush your teeth with Aim or Sensodyne, as recommended by your dentist, and use Listerine Mouth Wash. After getting dressed for the day and putting on Secret or Degree deodorant, maybe you put on some makeup. You try out a new Maybelline product or an old-but-favorite shade of lipstick from Makeup Forever.
