Those First Tender Moments
Your heart starts pounding. You've just wrapped up brunch. Your smile reflected in her eyes. Hands entwined together, fingers dancing with intimacy. You head back to your place to decide what to do for the rest of the day. You have an idea of what is going to happen next, or you don't. The truth it you haven't got a clue, this is brand new territory. The entire ride home you can’t help but laugh. Every note rings true, you burst into colors but in a pathetic way to remain calm you simply nod and smile. Afraid to let her know, let her know that she has you. All of you.

Unconditional Love, Vulnerability, and Authenticity (Pt. 3)
Standing there with your entire soul naked to the world. Not an easy thing to do. It's probably one of the most terrifying things to do. To reveal your true self. Many see vulnerability as weakness, I see it as truth. This ability to look life right in the eye and say, this is who I am, this is what I want.It is a must be able to be vulnerable with your partner. This is where we grow as individuals, this is how we grow in relationships. There is only one rule here. Bare your soul and tell the truth. Sometimes saying "I love you" is as vulnerable as we get. Sometimes we are deep in a relationship or marriage and it becomes "I don't want children," "I hate my job," "I don't feel attractive anymore," "We are never intimate anymore," "I can't keep living like this," or "I've been contemplating suicide." I mean to be heavy, because these are real things people deal with every day.

Unconditional Love, Vulnerability, and Authenticity (Pt. 1)
I wish you were a little more...I wish you didn't act so...Interesting isn't it, common phrases we hear every single day. We spend most of our lives listening to the ways in which other people wish we were. Authenticity seems a lot like a buzz word these days, but to be honest it might be the only word. I think life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness may be a little misquoted. I think if we spent less time focusing on what we should be doing and more on what makes us feel alive, the happiness and successful relationships would be at our fingertips. Without vulnerability, can we ever be truly in a trusting, honest relationship? Without our partner knowing who we are, can we be happy? Love, unconditional love, what does that even mean and does it even matter?

Mission to the Deep
Hazel keeps having the same dream over and over. The events and details of the dream are blurry, but they always end the same way, with her death. Hazel wakes suddenly by the sound of her alarm, she wipes the sleep out of her eyes and stretches overhead. She dresses quickly and rushes downstairs. Lately the days have seemed to melt together, her mom stands over the stove cooking with headphones in her ears.
