Long Distance... Pt. 2
So that magical moment finally happened! After three very long months, Evan finally came home, we surprised him with a group of friends and family at the airport! I was so nervous to finally be able to see him again, facetime made things way easier but it still isn't the same as face to face. The moments leading up to his arrival my heart was racing. I woke up four hours early and ended up at the airport two hours early just because I did not have anything else to do and my heart was on cloud nine. Distance has a funny way of bringing people together, settling any differences and just enjoying the happiness in the air, or is that because it is the holidays?! So the moment finally came, I was watching my Evan get closer and closer to me... My heart was pounding and honestly, I could not hear a thing around me. It was honestly like those movies scenes where everything goes black and it is just him standing there. This is the fun part, I saw Evan, my heart was racing, he was smiling... My whole entire body froze. Yes, it FROZE! I stood there and looked at him like a deer in headlights. So embarrassing! Being the amazing man that he is though he just wrapped me up in a hug until I finally came back around to reality. It was emotional and exciting and so worth the three months apart. His visit was for nine days, and in those nine days, there was not a day that was not fun packed and eventful!

Long Distance... Pt. 1
Long distance is something that many attempt and few succeed at. This is my boyfriend Evan, he is 22 and I am 21. Recently I have been struggling to find topics to write about, then it hit me. I have been writing little pieces here and there in my notebook but never thought about publishing them. So here we go with part one of the series, we recently began a long distance relationship and although it has only been three months, it has shown us both how hard it can be. First, a little history!

Pet to Family—Is Yours Ready?
Pets are easily the greatest addition to a family, but are you ready for one? A pet is something to grow with you and your family, not something to be cast off when it gets too big or you no longer have the desire for it. Hundreds of animals end up in shelters because the owners don't want it anymore, or it wasn't what they thought, they didn't know it would get that big, and tons of other excuses. So before you adopt or buy a new pet, do your research on it so you can make sure it is actually something you really want and won't take back two weeks later. Go through your home, do you have room for a four-legged addition? The most common is dogs, everybody wants a cute little puppy but nobody wants a dog. They take time to train, lots of food, and require room to run/play! Dogs vary from tiny little Chihuahuas to huge Great Danes. Each one has tailored needs, and it takes a lot of responsibility. Cats have to be the biggest one, kittens are so cute and tiny, but once they grow up a lot of people don't think they are the cutest thing. Once cats go into a shelter as an adult it is highly certain that they will not be adopted. So before you make the big decision to get a new pet, make sure you are ready for it. Here are some basic key tips to remember before inviting the new addition in!
