How To Drop the L Bomb the Right Way
Love makes the world go around. Love conquers all. It’s all about the love. Truly, love is one of the most important basic human needs. So why is it so hard to say? The L bomb is just what it sounds like…the first time someone says "I love you." Apparently, some men (I’m guessing the eternal bachelor types) compare saying "I love you" to an explosion with potentially disastrous consequences. But falling in love is an amazing experience and life just wouldn’t be the same without it. Nothing else in the world can make a person feel as special as when they are told they are loved. So I have come up with some helpful guidance when it comes to dropping the L bomb…proceed with caution!
Heart Centered UniversePublished 6 years ago in HumansTips to Make the First Date Great
Chemistry is a very tricky thing. The definition of chemistry is a strong attraction between two people. Science can’t describe it or explain why it’s there. It could be anything from the sound of his/her voice to the way he or she smells. But if you’re really listening to your intuition, you should be able to tell if there’s any chemistry on the first date.
Heart Centered UniversePublished 6 years ago in HumansGive the New Relationship a Fair Shot!
At some point, we all have to learn how to move on from those relationships that were simply toxic to our well-being. Even though we still have vivid memories of spending time with that individual, we also have to consider the reality of the matter, which is that it didn’t work out and if it was meant to work out, then it would have.
Tanisha DavisPublished 6 years ago in HumansHow to Deal With Dating Someone Richer Than You
My current boyfriend and I were old classmates of one another, and we recently reconnected and started dating. We had similar upbringings, but while my parents were remortgaging the house for the third time to pay for tuition fees, my boyfriend was touring the world with his family. I'm not putting myself on a high horse or chastising my boyfriend's family for their way of life, for they are genuinely kind and warm people whom I love spending time with. My boyfriend's values and my values are well-aligned with one another, and I honestly couldn't imagine being with anybody else. But sometimes issues do arise when you are dating someone of a different wealth bracket, and these are some ways to handle it like a damn adult.
Can Long-distance Relationships Ever Work?
While online dating can be a marvelous way of getting introduced to a diverse range of potential partners, sometimes transcending cultural or even geographical boundaries, it can have its drawbacks. Falling for someone who happens to live some distance away is obviously not ideal, especially if you’ve previously enjoyed relationships where you’ve been used to spending a lot of time in each other’s company. But you don’t always think of the practicalities when you browse through women looking for men and find yourself smitten with a profile photograph and description. Once you start communicating with this person and feel that spark of chemistry, do you ignore it simply because they don’t live a few blocks away?
David ElmersPublished 6 years ago in HumansLessons for My Daughter
I had my daughter when I was 21; not a teen mom, but not at all prepared for the adventure that was ahead. I have made a lot of mistakes in the realm of dating, and these are just a few lessons I want my daughter (and any young person) to consider when dealing with relationships and dating...

No, I haven't been in a relationship or personally seen this happen to anyone. I know so many of you think I may not have the right to speak on this issue but I'll still have an opinion nonetheless.

When He Breaks Your Heart... Again
Well, he's done it again. He found a way to get back in your heart and to trick you into believing "he's changed." Now, you're sitting at home, sad and heartbroken for the millionth time, and asking yourself if there's something wrong with you. Stop!! The only thing that's wrong with yo, is that you let him get in your head, AGAIN. Don't beat yourself up, though, it's your time to shine. Showing him you're hurt will only show him that he still has control over your heart and your feelings. What I want you to do instead is to look in the mirror and look at how beautiful and amazing you are. Your eyes are bright, your hair is great, and you have a smile that can light up a room. Good, now that you see your outer beauty, let's talk about your inner beauty. What are a couple things that you love about yourself? Are you caring, generous, polite? Are you driven, motivated, or hard working? Once you've noticed your inner and outer beauty, you're ready to make your statement. Call up some friends, make some plans, and open up your closet. Make tonight the first night of the new you. Put on something great, spritz on your favorite perfume, and do something new to your hair. Wear makeup if you'd like, too. I know you're probably thinking, "What's this going to help with?" It helps by getting your mind off him, by giving you a well needed time out with your friends, and it helps by giving you an opportunity to learn more about yourself without the distraction of your idiot ex-boyfriend. If he calls while you're out, don't pick up the phone!! No texts, no calls, no excuses. You don't need him. Avoid his lies and his tricks to get back with you. He knows if he says or does a certain thing, you'll go right back to him. So don't give him the satisfaction. Make him see you don't need him or his lies. You deserve to laugh and be happy, you deserve love, and you deserve to shine brighter than you ever have.
Virginia ShefcykPublished 6 years ago in Humans Growth in a Relationship
Let’s face it, no one is perfect. We were all born as babies then as we got older, we absorbed different programs from all areas in life. When we get with someone and decide to be in a relationship with them, we go in with the good things that we contribute in the relationship as well as the baggage that can hold ourselves and our significant others back from becoming the best people that we can be in that relationship. Growing as both individuals and as a couple is a key factor to having a successful and happy relationship.
Spencer Jean-MaryPublished 6 years ago in HumansAge Is Just a Number
We've all heard that saying "age is just a number." But is it true? In today's society, it is more acceptable to have an age gap but it's still quite taboo. I, however, have been with only older men my entire dating life.
