Dating a Raptor

Professional Manipulators

Do you guys remember that scene in Jurassic Park where Muldoon is explaining to everyone how the raptors attack the fence, but never attack the same place twice? They don't attack that same spot because they got a shock, so they strategically test the fence. Attacking different spots every time. Looking for a weakness to exploit. This is also what a professional manipulator will do to a person.

I have come across this type of "person" more times than I'd like to admit. And yes, I meant to use the quotes because I really don't even think they deserve to be called a person, but that's what they disguise themselves as on a daily basis, so thats what we'll go with today.

I'm just gonna list a few examples of this type of person. They're the type that offers to look at your car then convinces you to let him and his daughter stay the night because it's too late for them to walk. Then some how convinces you to let his baby mama move in. The type that you can catch cheating but he convinces you that his phone was hacked. That that wasn't his package on that fetish site. The type to gets you to take care of 1 of 3 kids he has with him at the time. Someone who has only had 2 jobs in their life and have tried to get workman's comp for both.

There are so many more examples but you get the gist. And it may seem like the other person is an idiot but they are actually very smart. The raptor has found a spot in the fence that won't shock them, in this case it's a lonely person with low self esteem. The raptor will continue to test the person. Seeing what they can get away with and what gets them a shock. You want to think that eventually the raptor will give up. That this fence will be strong and never give way. But this is all the raptor has. They have no desire to learn or do anything other than that. They are happy to freeze you in this time with them, never moving forward, never building a life. Just the same thing day in and day out. Eventually the fence breaks. The raptor no longer has to test it. The raptor has won and you're just a shell of a person that used to be full of electricity.

Nobody needs anybody to know they're worth something. Watch out for the raptors of the world. They're clever, girls.
