Dear Me,

They're not going to welcome you with open arms. They're not going to look at you the same. You're not the same people singing in the car a few months ago. Those quotes you read were right; your ride or dies become strangers. It hurts but you'll stop feeling the pain eventually.

Sincerely,

A saddened soul

Dear Me,

You’re going to see them laughing without you. It’s going to hurt worse than any scrape or bruise. You’re going to feel replaced. It’ll be a feeling you’re accustomed to.

Bitterly yours,

The lost

Dear Me,

New people will take you under their wing and make you feel less blue. At first you’ll feel like you don’t deserve it. You’ll feel like you shouldn’t have friends and you blame everything on yourself. It wasn’t just you.

From,

A friend

Dear Me,

You’re going to gain interest in things again. You’ll get back into your hobbies and get out with your new friends. You’ll feel surprised that people could be this good to you. It’s a good feeling.

Sincerely,

A light ahead

Dear Me,

There will be tension, there will be some reconciliation. There will be things said about you by those who left. It will put salt in the wound but you must not let it hold you back. You have a future to worry about so get your life together. It’s best to move on.

From,

The Angel on your shoulder

Dear Me,

You’ll finally get back on your feet and come back twice as strong. At first your actions will be in spite of those people, but will turn into progress. You will drive on your own and get a job. You will grow closer to friends. You will meet new people and life will never be the same. That is meant only in the best way possible.

From,

Motivation

Dear Me,

You will get your art recognized, you will get into your 1st choice of school. You will fall in love with a sweet boy who is nothing like anyone you’ve ever met. You will undeniably click and become happy. Without the loss of two friends, you would’ve never been introduced to him.

Hopefully yours,

A bright future

Dear Me,

You will rekindle one old bond that was lost and discover that the other one wasn’t much. You’ll learn that the person you put on a pedestal did nothing for you while turning their back on other people. It’ll be sweet relief to know that some people ain’t shit. You’ll stop missing that person and be grateful for the one you got back.

Happily yours,

Positivity

Dear Me,

You will learn to let this go and you will learn to love yourself. Life changes and people grow apart. You have learned love, happiness, and true friendship. You will love and be loved, you will lead a life of happiness. This will only happen when you let the past go.

Sincerely,

A prospering me

These are things I should’ve said to myself while processing the events in my life. Had I known what good would come from losing two friends, I would’ve moved on a lot sooner. Life became so much better and I became a better me. It changed my life for the best and all though I didn’t see it at first, I know it now. If it hadn’t happened, I wouldn’t have met my sweet boyfriend. I wouldn’t have such wonderful and close friends. I was once at the point of thinking things would just be better if I stepped into oncoming traffic but here I am, grateful for each morning I’m alive. I’m writing this to say that it gets better. It always gets better. I’m writing this to say that it gets better. It always gets better.
