Do We Have the Same Perspective of Love?

Who can even describe it?

Is there ever such a thing as true love? Could it be real or just a fake reality made for movies? Is it only a hope and crazy fantasy, or is there such a thing as a soul mate? That from the moment we are born, someone else was born for us. The weird thing about love is that no one really knows what it is. It isn't something that can be defined in a book, or recognized by certain factors. Love is something you feel within yourself, and only the person can decide if the feelings are authentic. Sometimes we confuse love with infatuation, other times some may misinterpret it for lust or pure feeling of security. The thought of being needed or wanted makes a person create this bondage without really loving this person. It blinds them to feel these emotions confused for love, when really those emotions are issues found within themselves.

Love comes in very different forms and very different perspectives. Everyone has their own perception of love and who they choose to have it for. Loving a family member can be a different form of love, than which you have for your significant other. However, both resemble an indescribable bond. Saying "I love you" is simple and easy. Whether the phrase is something you say too much or not enough depends on who you are. Everyone is different and can give and receive love in many aspects. That's where fate comes in. What if we were created to love the people in our lives and were meant to be loved by them When we love? We learn and develop into the person we are meant to become. And even if you find your first, second, and third love, but it doesn't work out, then all of those relationships were meant to prepare you for your true love. Maybe those heartbreaks and pain from our loved ones are meant to make our own love stronger. When we are betrayed and hurt by the ones we love the most, it can feel like your chest has a hole through it, and it takes much time for that emotional scar to heal, but in the end you fix yourself and build yourself up from the destruction. You end up becoming better than before. Opening yourself up to love more and to understand the reason of action behind your loved ones. You learn to forgive and accept. Sometimes other loved ones in our life can help us heal and grow. They can provide support and comfort. Allow them to be a shoulder to cry on, or a listening ear. They can help you feel less alone. They can make the feeling of hopelessness go away. The definition of love cannot be determined simply because of its complexity. It’s nature is uniqueness. For many, love is this emotion deep inside that cannot be put into words. All they know is that they would do anything to keep that person in their life. That over everything in this world, they mean the most to them. That is love.

It’s not hard to love, but rather too easy. Love is a sensation of vulnerability, because giving your love to others may not always mean it will be reciprocated. In order to love someone, you have to release all fears, all doubts, all questions. We live in a world where opening yourself, revealing all feelings, is questioned. Why must we pretend like this person we are with isn’t our soul mate? Because of one mistake, the love is gone. We are all human. We are all imperfect. Not one of us can ever say we have mastered life, because each day we are still figuring it out. Love lives inside all of us, surging in our cores. It’s our choice of whether or not we want to allow that love to become a part of who we are, and potentially impact somebody else. The strongest drug is love they say, and truth be told, I couldn’t agree more. Love makes you do crazy things. It blinds you- but it also makes you feel something no one else can. It makes every type of pain disappear. It’s like a natural healer of the soul. It gives you a form of happiness that never existed before you knew their love. And the hardest part of love is hoping that it never leaves.
