Finding Love

Love is a complicated thing. We have all experienced love in one way or another in our life so far and we will continue to find and experience love until the day we die. Love is composed of many things and isn’t just about love between two people. In this case, the idea of love for me is a deep, emotional, and soul warming connection that you have with a person.

No matter the circumstances that you fall in love with a person, no matter who you are, and who you fall in love with— once you have shared that love with that person, your soul knows it. I love my husband with every inch of my being inside and out, but that is not what this is about. This is about the feeling of love and knowing what love and lust is. People say that when you get married the love and the connection can die out. Being married does not and should not stop you from being able to enjoy things in your life that you might have enjoyed prior. That is shielding you from who you are and hurts love.

Love for me is being able to know that I can be apart from my husband and know that no matter whom he encounters in that day, he comes home to me— vice versa. Being open to share anything and everything with the person you love makes the two souls connect stronger. You can be every part of who you are and let out your inner weirdo and not be afraid for your love to see, as they are the same. Wanting the best for them and helping them achieve greatness, that connects you.

We all have run into a case where we thought we were in love and knew that this was the real thing when it ends up crushing any thought and notions you previously had for love. In that moment, we hurt and we ache, but when we may not realize at the time is that it is our soul healing itself and repairing it to be broken again. Each break helps us to learn the difference between love and true love. Finally, when the day comes along that you get that true love feeling, you will know the difference because life has prepared you for it.
