Give new love a fighting chance!

At some point, we all have to learn how to move on from those relationships that were simply toxic to our well-being. Even though we still have vivid memories of spending time with that individual, we also have to consider the reality of the matter, which is that it didn’t work out and if it was meant to work out, then it would have.

There are some people in life that we just were never made to be in a relationship with. It’s possible that we were probably just meant to be good friends or associates with them. We, however, tend to invite people to remain in our lives longer than they ever were intended to be. It’s understood, because you may just be the friendly type of falls in love easily. You may have thought that the getting along and long conversations meant it was love when really it should have just been a good friendship.

Regardless of how your last relationship ended, you have to move on from it.

You can’t welcome in new love if you have not let go of past disappointments, or still find yourself wishing the last relationship would have turned out for the better. Someone really amazing thinks the world of you and has no intentions of hurting you and if you don’t get past the last relationship then you will ruin the new one.

Let me add that it is never good to jump from one relationship into a new relationship if you have not healed mentally and spiritually from the last one. I say this simply because of the fact that you risk hurting the new person in your life. Nothing sucks more than being in love with a person who is still emotionally attached to another.

If you are not careful you will find yourself reflecting hurt on an individual who does not deserve it. Therefore, creating a horrible experience for the new person in your life. Nobody deserves to be half loved or feel like they only have a small portion of your heart.

So the best thing to do is heal and if you feel that you are ready for a new relationship but you still have thoughts occasionally about how the last relationship turned out, then try to work on ridding yourself of the guilt and regrets. It didn’t work out and possibly for good reasons unseen.

Why do we want to be with people who don’t want to be with us? Why are we so emotionally attached to the ones who gave up on us, or took our love for granted? You are worth so much more than you give yourself credit for. You are deserving of a real love and there is somebody out there or possibly in your life now who wants to show you how valuable you are to them. So give new love a fair chance. Of course, you do not want to go into the relationship blind, but definitely try not to go into the relationship with halfhearted love, because everyone deserves to be loved wholeheartedly. They deserve the same love that you felt you should have received in past relationships. Don’t be that sour apple who ruins the bunch. If you have someone good in your life, then cherish that and treat them the way you know they deserve to be treated. Protect what you have by leaving old issues and hurts in the trash where it belongs! It’s okay to hurt for a little while but after that, honey, you've got to rise up and see your worth!
