How to Treat Your Number One to Make Her Feel Like Your Number One

1. Tell her three simple phrases. You are beautiful, you are smart, you are special.

Sometimes you are left to send important little messages via text. Call them little love messages. Tell her "be safe," "I love you," and "hey babe I was just thinking of you, so I thought I’d say hi" and other such messages that you believe will put a smile on the face of your (put your nickname for her here). However, don’t underestimate the importance of three simple phrases. You are beautiful, you are smart, you are special.

2. Actions over words.

Actions speak louder then words, plain and simple. Be a man and do the right thing. Correction, be a real man and do the right thing. It’s a really easy thing to remember and to do, however, it’s something that needs to be said because some people think words is all that matter.

3. Honesty might hurt but it is always needed.

Honesty might get you in trouble, however it’s better to tell the truth then lie and have them find out the truth; in a relationship, honesty is really important. If you are not going to be honest with your girl, then I want to know why you are even in the relationship with her. Sure, if you do something bad, something that you know when she finds out she’s gonna be pissed, you might be scared to tell her because you do not know how she is gonna react…well beside being mad at you. However, just tell her the truth up front because if you try to hide it and she finds out, which she will, it will only be worse off for you.

4. Understand her past, light her future.

Now chances are you are not the first man she’s fallen for, in some capacity or another. However sad, that might be one of the things that has lead her to think she is not worthy of anything, think she is a nobody, she does not deserve her hopes and dreams to come true— in any form. Her past might have, for lack of a better word, brain-washed her into getting rid of the positive thoughts and only keeping the negative thoughts. It might even have forced her to not believe what her friends and family say about her. However, be a man and do everything you can to understand her past and find a way to light up her future.

5. Her family is your family as well.

You are dating her, you are not dating her brothers or sisters, you are not dating her parents. However, her family is still important in your relationship. No matter what her family system is like, whether they are super tight like family dinner every Sunday night, all the way up to a super distant family that acts like they don’t give a crap about each other, they still care and love each other deeply. For example: if her brother is going through a rough time-period, it will affect her in one way or another. I am not saying you have to be best friends with the brother, but just be his friend. Try to find some common ground with each member of her family. Sure, your main goal in the relationship is to make her happy but one of the many ways to make her happy is to make her family happy.

6. Remember the little things.

It is important to remember the big things of course, like your anniversary, her birthday and what makes her happy. If you for some reason can not understand that it is important to know those then you probably shouldn’t be in a relationship with anyone, to be honest. However, it is also important, perhaps even more important to remember all of the little stuff. Now I can’t tell you what the little things will be for your better half, because everyone is different. However, I can easily tell you how you can figure out all of the little things to remember. It is so simple, it only has one step; listen.
