It's Okay to Get Angry

It's how you deal with it that matters...

Hi! I'm Hannah, and this is my first story. I chose to write about this topic because sometimes I need to express my feelings, and this is the only way I can do so.

Today's topic is anger—straight up, red, fiery, steamed up, good old anger. No one enjoys being angry, but it's a feeling that we all have, and I hope I can help you with your anger. Now, I don't know about you, but I'm done with anger. It always builds up inside of me, and I'm done with it. I'm throwing it away. Now, when I say that I'm done with anger, I mean the rugged, over-active, run you to exhaustion kind. So, It's what you do with the anger that is the important part. I'll help you with that. I'm here for you. I'm, always here for you.

Say, you get into an argument with your best friend, husband, wife, boy or girlfriend, or dog. It's heated, and you want to cuss them out, and say something that feels really good, but won't feel so good for long. It's important to first out of everything—LISTEN! Now, not everyone is the best listener, but it's a skill that could do everyone some good. Sometimes, all a person wants is for someone to listen to them. You may just be the only person in their life that actually listens to them. You may not even know that, but it really helps that person get out whatever was ailing them. Assess the situation—what are you fighting about? Is it silly and pointless, or something really serious? Something that you can handle by yourself, or something that could use counseling? These are all questions that you need to ask yourself. If you think that you are going to blow their head off with a 9 millimeter, then take some time by yourself to take some deep breaths, and count backward from 10 to one.

If it is something silly and pointless, then it may be best for you to be the bigger person and say it, they aren't going to give up that easily. I had to do that. I was a little salty for a while, because I had to throw up the white flag, but I knew that it was pointless to keep fighting, because my friend was more important than some frivolous argument. However, if your case is different and the person whom you are arguing with is truly a toxic person, then it is not worth having your pride squashed like a bug. I can't assess the problem for you, I can only tell you what I've been told.

But know that it is okay to be angry, and frustrated. It's normal, you're only human. Your opinion is valid and you deserve to be just as happy as the next person. Just think, and make sure that whatever you say, it is thought of before it actually flies past your lips. Anger is a feeling, but it's better to feel than to not feel. Smile, laugh, cry, be a little embarrassed. Embrace your quirks and kinks. Don't do anything you will regret. Find love. You deserve that much. You don't know me, but I love you. Just call me, "Writer Rebel." Remember that YOU ARE LOVED... Write your story and make your mark. The world would be lost without you.
