"Maria, are you all packed for tomorrow?" My mom asks when she pokes her head in.

"Yeah mom," I tell her looking up from the book that I was reading. She stands there for a couple minutes, then smiles at me and leaves. I sigh and put down my book, looking around the empty room, remembering all the memories. My dad got a promotion at his job so we're moving closer to his new workplace. There are some good things about this, like that I get to meet new people and see new places, but there are only two downsides to us moving. One is that I have to leave my friends, and the other happens to be my neighbor and longtime crush, Brent.

"Maria, your friends are here!" I hear my dad shout from downstairs. Today is my last day and all my friends are taking me to the amusement park. I go downstairs and see my best friend, Lexie, standing by the door talking to my mom, out of all my friends, she's the only one that knows that I'm moving, Brent doesn't even know, and I hope to keep it that way.

"Ready?" Lexi asks with a smile, but I can tell that its fake. I return the smile and nod as we walk outside. My smile grows when I see all my friends standing there, especially Brent. We get into the car and drive to the amusement park. When we arrive we get out and walk to the ticket booth.

"Hey," Brent says once were in the park. I look at him and see the smile on his face, and that instantly brings a smile to my face.

"Hey," I say and look down at the ground. I mentally slap myself, I always do this whenever he talks to me.

"So what ride to you want to go on first?" Brent asks. I look up and look around, and then I point.

"That one," I say pointing at the big rollercoaster that has a lot of loops, twists and turns. I see Brent smile as he grabs my hand, pulling me along with him over to the line. When we get to the line, he doesn't let go of my hand, causing a blush to rise up on my face.

After more and more rides we rode on the carousel and some others, and when it got dark out we decided to go home. When we got to my house I got out and said goodbye to my friends and Brent walked me to the door.

"So, that was fun," Brent says and I nod.

"Well, goodnight," Brent says and starts to turn away.

"Wait," I say and he turns around and stares at me, and I did the one thing that I have been dying to do—I kissed him.

Then I turn and go inside. Leaving him standing there.

And that was our last kiss.

The next day I am woken up by the sound of my alarm going off. After I turn it off I stay laying in my bed looking up at the ceiling.

"Maria, are you up?" I hear my mom say from the other side of the door.

"Yeah mom, I'm up," I say looking over at the door even though she has yet to open it. She opens the door and is startled when she sees me staring at the door.

"Oh, it's almost time to leave," my mom says. I nod my head, and she gives me a smile. I get up and grab my clothes and walk into the bathroom. When I'm done getting ready and I go downstairs to see my mom cooking breakfast, my dad sitting at the table. My mom puts the plate in front of me and I start to eat. We talk for a little until the doorbell rings. I get up and open the front door to reveal Lexie.

"Hey, I just came to say goodbye," she said. I could see the tears that were threatening to come out.

"Bye," I say giving her a hug. My mom and dad came up behind me and told us that it was time to go. Lexie led me outside, where there were even more hugs and goodbyes. The tears become too much for me to hold and I started crying, as did Lexie. We stayed like this for a couple of minutes before my dad told us that it was time to leave.

I got into the car and looked over at the neighbor's house, remembering last night, but as we drove off, there was a smile playing on my lips.
