SERENA

"I don't think I've ever seen anything so sexy," my husband's compliment only made me chuckle as I stared up at him from the rim of my glasses. He stood in the doorway of my new home office, located near the guest bedroom, as he marveled at me while I breast fed Zander. I continued to finish up some closing contracts for the properties I managed to sell within a week as Daniel made his way towards me, placing soft kisses along my neck the second his lips touched my skin. It definitely helped to relieve some of the stress managing all of these renovations gave me. The past couple of months trying to finish renovating all of these properties at the same time were exhausting, but in the end, it paid off. We now had close to $500,000 in our joint account and I couldn't wait to head back out there to re-invest and double that amount in the next few months.

"He won't stop eating. It's like he's attached to this thing," I complained as I pulled my son off my chest and covered myself up while Daniel carefully took him over his shoulder and began to burp him.

"Maybe he just likes being around you. Isn't that right little guy?" Daniel crooned at his kid and I smirked when Zander vomited all over his t-shirt. Standing up from my desk, I reached for a napkin to wipe away the spit from the baby's mouth and straightened his little white onesie.

"The clothes we have don't fit them anymore. They're growing so fast," I added, looking down towards a sleeping Zach, who slept soundly in his cradle and watched Daniel bounce baby Zander carefully, grinning towards him as the baby began to giggle. It was the kind of sound I didn't know I was going to love until I heard it and now I was obsessed.

"We should keep the clothes. Just in case," my husband hinted, with a mischievous smile on his handsome face. I shook my head at his insane idea of having more kids. Two were enough. Anything beyond that would kill us.

"Keep that thing inside your pants and we'll be fine," I warned and tried not to laugh as he stepped closer to me and began to kiss my neck again, attempting to seduce me into changing my mind. It wasn't going to work. Besides, I made sure the birth control I was on was an effective one this time, so we wouldn't have another accident and end up with triplets.

"No promises," he claimed huskily, taking a nibble of my earlobe, sending familiar shivers down my spine and throughout my body. I moaned, pulling away as I pointed towards him in warning.

"Stay away from me, Daniel. I mean it," I insisted, trying to hide my laughter as he placed Zander into his portable cradle and continued to take off his stained shirt, throwing it to the side before he cornered me against my desk and captured my hips and lips simultaneously. Closing my eyes as he kissed down my chest, I tried to pull away from him, but it seemed Zander wasn't the only one who was hungry.

"Oh! I'm sorry," Jesse's voice interrupted us, just as Daniel's hand began to slide up my inner thigh. He pulled away, sighing in frustration and shielded me long enough for me to fix myself, then reached for his shirt.

"I'll be right back. Try not to kill each other while I'm gone," Daniel suggested, sending us both warning glances as he took both of his sons and left me with his business partner in the middle of my office. I returned to my desk chair and placed my contracts into some folders and then into my briefcase, while Jesse took a seat on an empty chair and tried not to look as uncomfortable as she probably was.

"How'd you get in here without a key?" I wondered out loud, not bothering to care how rude it sounded. Jesse swallowed hard as she took out a key from her back pocket and showed it to me. The fact that Daniel didn't bother talking to me about giving her a key to our place, only made me want to forget about his warning of trying not to kill her. He'd definitely be next.

"Before you get upset—"

"Upset? You think this is me being upset? You haven't seen anything yet," I countered firmly as I walked towards her and snatched the key out of her hand, throwing it straight through the opened window in my office. It was probably sinking into the mud as we speak.

"You know, with every encounter we've had so far, I can't help wondering why he'd even bother loving someone like you." Jesse's words struck a nerve inside me that made me want to snap her like a twig. And I would've if Daniel hadn't interjected, stepping in between us, holding me away from the snake he called a business partner and friend.

"Just go, Jesse," Daniel dismissed, and I smirked when I saw the disappointment in his eyes as he looked at her.

"But we're—"

"No. I'm tired of this shit," he stated, clearly agitated by the situation. He wasn't the only one. Jesse sighed, handing him a pair of keys which I assumed belonged to the garage. Daniel had mentioned earlier she was heading to Mexico for the weekend with Marley, and Daniel thought it would be a good idea for Freddy to take her place until she returned from their trip. From the looks of it, it looked like Daniel was considering giving that position to Freddy permanently, since he decided to leave his firefighting days behind him. Which of course meant Freddy would have to buy her out of her share of the business. I'd be more than happy to give Freddy that loan if it meant getting rid of Jesse all together.

"I'm sorry," she apologized, reaching to shake my hand as a peace offering. I ignored it, and heard Daniel cursing underneath his breath, mumbling something about jumping off a cliff. I rolled my eyes and reached to shake her hand.

"I'll see you when I get back?" Jesse hinted, and Daniel looked at her as he pulled me in front of him, wrapping his arms around me as he tugged me into his chest.

"We'll see," Daniel answered after placing a kiss on my shoulder, making it clear to her who it was he was always going to choose over everything. I would've smiled at the small victory, but Jesse looked like someone had just ripped out her heart and stomped on it vigorously. Having been on the other side of this situation, I absolutely knew what she was feeling, so I kept it cordial and nodded towards her as she let herself out.

"Feel better now?" Daniel's question came as he turned me around to face him, his hands at my waist as he tugged my legs over his hips and carried me up the stairs. He was hellbent on finishing what we started before Jesse interrupted, and I can already feel him ready to go as I unzipped his pants and began to tease him. I laughed when he almost dropped me in the middle of the hallway and moaned as he pressed me up against the wall just outside of our bedroom.

"I called off the deal with Aaron. It wasn't worth the headache," I informed him, and the news seemed to only put him in a better mood as he smiled and leaned in to kiss me. After I deepened the kiss, he dipped his fingers into my hair, tugging it lightly as he lifted my chin up, brushing his lips over my own as he rested his forehead against mine.

"Marry me," he spoke in a whisper and I wasn't sure I heard him correctly. Confused, I looked up at him as he traced my swollen bottom lip and stared down at me.

"We're already married," I reminded him and then favorite cheesy smile appeared, melting my heart into a puddle of mush. Whatever he was about to say next, I knew I wasn't going to be able to turn him down.

"We can renew our vows. Our anniversary is coming up anyway. Why not make it a big deal this time?" he offered, reaching down towards the hem of my shirt to pull it up over my head. It was kind of hard to focus while he was continuing his seduction, but I didn't need time to think about it. I already knew there was no point in running away from each other anymore. Not when we'd just go back to this, the undeniable chemistry we've always had and the overwhelming feeling of relief as we fell back into each other's arms each and every time.

"Okay, let's do it," I proposed and he stopped kissing my neck long enough to smile against my skin.

"Can we start the honeymoon now, before the boys wake up?" he teased and I laughed as he picked me up and carried me into our bedroom, not bothering to wait for my response before taking control.
