Love Will Save Our Society

Healing Ourselves and the World with Love and Empathy

Why can't we all be friendly towards one another? It sounds cliché but I would genuinely like to know. Many humans cannot resist causing misfortune to others. Why can't people discern that we are all simply trying to live our lives as we determine? Everyone has issues in their lives so why make it difficult for someone else? We are all part of this non compos mentis society, so why not begin loving one another in order to ease the pain of the madness which surrounds us? If we all showed compassion along with wisdom and appreciation, society would be much better off.

Why can't many people realize that everything is perspective? We create our world with our minds. If someone has a quandary with another, it is not due to the fact that the other person is "good" or "bad." It is not the fault of the other person. It is your problem with how you perceive the other person. People should stop placing blame on others and realize they created the mishap. Only you can control your mind. Of course, there are always exceptions.

We need to learn to love each other and grasp that everyone's realities are divergent. We are all probing for some purpose to this life. I think it's safe to say that we all just want to be happy. Why can't we begin supporting instead of mistreating each other? All of us are a lot more alike than we realize. We should start sharing the love. Love is infinite. There is ample love to go around. Let's share our love with strangers walking down the street. Love each other and ourselves. Always show yourself unconditional love and understanding each and every moment. We are all beautiful. Each of us have been through our share of agony and desolation. I cannot completely understand someone else's experiences and they cannot understand mine. Of course, we can attempt to understand and use empathy to the fullest of our capability. My point is that we do not completely understand why someone is the way they are, unless they share information with us. We can show loving-kindness to others and attempt to view their situation in order to help rather than judge.

Instead of this constant competition for money and other things that truly hold no value, except the value which we ignorantly give these things, let's just enjoy the simple things in life, such as love and friendship. Let us allow everyone to live their own lives in the way that they want to live. I do not expect anyone to live up to my expectations, and I sure do not want to be forced to live up to another's expectations.

Just remember to extend the love. Humans and animals alike could use more love. What are you doing to make a positive difference today? You do not necessarily need to begin by making a positive difference in another's life. A great start to saving the world is by beginning to love yourself. Please remember that I love all of you, even if I haven't met you.

For those of you who read my ramblings in their entirety, here's a quote. I don't know who originally stated these words. I think I found it while reading The God Part of the Brain by Matthew Alper.

“Projection makes perception. The world you see is what you gave it, nothing more than that. It is the witness to your state of mind, the outward picture of an inward condition. As a man thinketh, so does he perceive. Therefore, seek not to change the world, but choose to change your mind about the world."
