Man, Was He Cute!

Fine wine got me besotted.

I didn't think that at my age, 38, that I still had the ability to be dumbstruck by a really cute guy! Actually, strike that by a very tall, muscled built hunk! But boy, was I wrong. Grab your popcorn for the juiciness...

I was having a not so in the mood day, wasn't in the mood for anything physical or that involved communication, or even stepping out of my apartment, but my friend wanted company and asked that I go out with her for her work. I mean, it was my off day and I was home doing nothing, happy about doing nothing until she came to my door. She badly needed company while she worked (she does Door Dash). I didn't feel like going, but since she insisted and wouldn't let up, I decided to oblige her and my dressing reflected my mood... just wasn't here for the world. I was dressed in grey slacks, a dull looking purple top and my running errands sneakers. I had my hair in a worse than messy bun and just couldn't be bothered with my general appearance. Boy! Did I pick a wrong day. :(

So, basically, my role was to sit in the car while she went about the order pickups and the drop-offs. That went on for most of the day amidst gist, laughter, and everything from catching trips and fun while on the road. This went on for most of the day and it lightened my mood, which was a good thing until... it happened!

She had picked up a delivery as usual and we got to the place for drop off. We were at this high building with no hint of how to get in and there was no one around to ask. Flustered, she tried calling the recipient but couldn't reach him. Just as I was about to suggest she go down and probably ask around, this hunk of a guy comes out of nowhere. Oh my gosh, I still get a rush thinking about it... It's like everything stood still and I am not sure what happened to the real me, but all I remember was that an alien had taken over my body and decided to be stupidly idiotic like a love-struck teenager. I couldn't even act like my age, just kept smiling as he walked towards us, all good sense of reason gone out the window. This Adonis gets to our car and I grab the food package and drinks from my friend, presenting it to this god. He smiled, almost like a smirk, takes the drinks and food from me, looks up to my friend uttering his thanks, and then at me in a passing way. Ahhhhh, he did that, but I was too far gone in my admiration to even care until he turned his back and walked away.

Snob! I turn to my friend in the car and I see she was also slightly smitten and we both automatically burst out laughing. Right then, I remember my drab dressing and I cringed. I wouldn't look at me a second time too... hahahaha. We actually talked about him for most of the rest of her work time and did laugh at our temporary infatuation.

So, to the guy that caught our attention, you did a good job of making us drool and acting like man starved ladies. I know you get that reaction probably all the time but for us, I guess it isn't every time we see hunk looking Adonis. Another lesson for me, to always look my best or second best but never like a drab...
