My Fairytale

I never thought a once upon a time would ever happen to me, but as a little girl I was anything but hopeful.

Being lucky enough to live near Crescent Bay in Laguna Beach, I would wake up, look out the window and see the most incredible property. At age 4, all I knew was that that place has to have the prettiest view in the entire world! By age 10, I learned the name of the dreamy property, Twin Points.

By age 13, I had told my dad that one day I was going to get married on that property. My dad knew the owner, so after asking, knew it wouldn't be a problem!

At age 21, the property sold to an unknown buyer. I reached out to a realtor, but because the property sold for 75 million, the buyer was impossible to get ahold of. I came to accept that this fairytale wouldn't be possible.

At age 23, I started dating Bran. We fell in love and at age 26, I knew he was the one.

At this point, I also knew that my dream wedding venue was owned by an unknown buyer and even had 24/7 security patrolling the property!

Bran, never settling for anything less than incredible, spent 5 months reaching out to every connection he had to that property. Calling China, emailing countless realtors...Bran was relentless. Even with his tenacity, he was unable to get in touch with anyone to let him onto the property.

Until one day...unexpectedly on Saturday the 26 of May...we took a walk and passed by the property. Through the gate, Bran noticed a security guard on the property and yelled after him! I was freaking out, because this was so unlike Brandon to just yell at a stranger demanding him to come to him to chat.

I'm so glad he did! That day we met Adam, an amazing man from Lebanon. He was also the security guard on duty for memorial day weekend.

Brandon told him my story of wanting to step foot on the property. How for almost 25 years, I've been eyeing these points and dreaming of at least walking out to the point if not get married there. To both of our surprise, Adam let us in!

I immediately teared up, and was completely overwhelmed with the view and most importantly Brandon's ability to ACTUALLY get me on the property!

To a bit of my surprise, Bran stayed back with Adam, chatting it up. I was taking in the moment trying to get Bran to come to enjoy this incredible scene with me, but he wouldn't. He just stood with Adam.

I was a little disappointed, because this was such a special moment for me and I thought maybe he'd want to stand by my side.

Little did I know, this was all a part of his plan.

While I was staring out at sea, Bran got Adam's number, explaining to him that he's been trying to get on this property for months now and would do anything to be able to propose on this point sometime this weekend!

Adam wasn't even supposed to have visitors, so this was a big ask. But amazing Adam, pulled through!

Having completely no idea any of this scheming was taking place, I went about my weekend enjoying being home in Laguna and spending quality time with Bran. I did notice he had been texting way more than usual.

Something else I didn't know... other than texting Adam to plan the day and time, Bran was reaching out to tons of drone photographers who lived in Laguna to try and line up a photographer for the perfect moment to film us standing out on the point.

Of course, he pulled through and after reaching out to dozens of people on Instagram, he locked in his guy.

Bran asked me to do a shoot that morning, which wasn't too out of the ordinarily. I quickly got dressed and we headed out. As we started walking, he asked to see if Adam was still there.

Of course he was. Bran planned the whole thing and the moment had finally come.

We held hands and ran around the property for a solid two minutes. It was honestly a moment I will never forget simply because I felt like a little girl running around with my best friend. I still had no idea what was to come!

Out of breath, we landed at the edge of the point, we paused...and all of the sudden, Bran drops to one knee and tells me that he wants to spend forever with me. Then he asked the BIG Q!

I swear, the entire beach knew what was going on after my initial scream. I teared up and kept asking, "Is this real?" Bran waited about a minute until he asked, "Are you going to say, YES!?"

Oooppsies! Made the guy wait, but it had been a LONG time since I've known I wanted to spend the rest of my life with the most incredible, giving and one-of-a-kind man.

Thank you for making my once upon a time come true, Bran. I love you.
