What do I do?

Dear.... diary?

I've never been good at putting pen to paper... or keys to screen. You would know that; otherwise, I would have written to you before.

I've come to you seeking help, or guidance. The weekend before last, I was involved in an unholy sin.

Before I tell you the story, I'll tell you the story before this story.

Two years ago, when I first started my job, I met someone. We had a connection that was undeniable, but we were never destined to be together. Now we both moved on from this; he had a few girlfriends and I had a few boyfriends. At this moment in time, he has a wonderful girlfriend, who unfortunately doesn't like me, due to the fact that he and I are such good friends, and she is worried something might happen between us.

It was our friend's 21st birthday. My best friend and I went together, not knowing that he would be there. We had all drank way too much already, but we thought it would be a good idea to go out into town that night.

It wasn't a good idea.

After 100000 jager bombs and tequila shots, we were dancing together, laughing. He tried telling me something, but I couldn't hear because the music was too loud for me to hear anything. He then pulled out his phone and started to type.

"I still like you."

At this point I was in shock, as you could probably tell. I didn't know what to do so I grabbed my friend and went to the loo.

She asked me what I was thinking. How should I know... I was just as confused as she was. After drunkenly talking about it, we decided I should wait until the next day to talk to him about it, when we are both sober and we will remember what we are saying.

When we both left the bathroom, he was standing there, waiting for us with our other friend. He said that we should leave because "it was getting late." It was already late; it was 3:30 the next morning.

Why did he want to leave?

On the way home, I sat next to him in the taxi. I fell asleep on him while he played with my hair. At that point, I thought that maybe we did have a chance of being together, excluding the fact that he had a girlfriend.

When we got back to my house, he told me he would call me in the morning. I already knew he wouldn't, because he never does.

When I woke up from getting home and into bed, I looked down to see that I had no missed called or texts from him, but I had a message from the other girl we went out with that night. I opened the message to read;

"Hey, I need to tell you this because I know what happened between you and him last night. When we dropped you off at your house, I didn't want to go back to mine because it was so far away, so he suggested that I stay around his."

At this point I already knew what she was going to say;

"When we got in, we were both just so drunk that we kissed, and I stayed in his bed."

Apparently, he told her that he likes her as well... but do you know what diary?... he hasn't even told me himself, she told me. He doesn't know that I know what happened between them two.

What am I meant to do? Tell him I know what happened? Tell his girlfriend?

Tell me what to do, diary. What do I do?
