The Guy Who Changed It All

The Time I Knew I Found the One

LOML-- And yes, that's really us.

We both worked at the local grocery store. I was a cashier and he was a worker in the stock crew. We we're somehow in there the whole time but didn't see each other until months after.

The day I met you, we we're both trying to clock back into work. You didn't say a word, and you didn't have to. The second I looked into your eyes, I knew. You gave me a look nobody has ever given me. It's like everything you hear in the movies about a girl being breathless, that's how I felt.

Then one day, you disappeared. You left to work somewhere else, so I stopped looking. I didn't worry about when we'd bump into each other and have to start a conversation anymore, because you weren't there. How could I blame you for leaving. You got a better job, paid better, and gave you better hours. It was months before I saw you again. So I worked, beating myself up for not talking to you. Thinking when i'd see you again. Then, Christmas Eve, that was it. It was you. You looked at me and I looked at you. The world stopped. I felt like I could look into your baby blue eyes forever.

Days went by of just texting and I finally talked to you in person. It was perfect. Even though it was a thirty minute talk and us just learning things about each other. It was the most connection i've felt in the longest time. The hardest part of this all, he came into my life at a hard time. I just got out of the worst relationship someone could have. I was constantly upset over it and constantly terrified I would mess everything up him. I did things that a man would leave you for. I tell you now, that boy wouldn't give up on me for the world, and that's what made me fall so in-love. For the longest time, we did everything together. We went to Starbucks together, I met his family and he met mine. He took me to Adventure Landing and even took me to Taco Bell once a week, and he never complained. We we're so happy we thought the world couldn't stop us, even if it tried. So we worked through the hard times, and had fun in our best times. We never left without saying I love you, and always made sure we got home safe after a long night.

After months of knowing each other, we moved in together. We have a little one bed one bath apartment. We cook dinner together at nights, he helps me with the laundry, even helps with the dishes. We have two kittens and a puppy German Shepard. We may have lots of fun but It gets hard. We pay crazy bills that I at times have no clue how they get paid. We constantly buy groceries and buy things we need for the house or the animals. It's tested our relationship so many ways that it's sometimes crazy to think we're still together. It's gotten really hard at times to keep holding on when you feel like you just can't do it anymore. The life I have, I swear I wouldn't change for the world.

To the guy who changed it all, I love you. You make me so incredibly happy. You've turned my life around for the better and showed me the bright side in life.

To all the people out there that may read this, don't give up on love. As much work as it is, and as painful as it maybe, it's one of the best things that can happen in your life.

Stay Happy,

Hannah
