The Past Forms You

I have gotten far in my short 25 years of life. I have gone through so many changes that I never thought I would experience. Growing up, I had the "white picket fence." I got everything I have ever needed or wanted. I was the only child in my family, so I guess you could say I was spoiled. I am thankful for everything I have been faced with. Some people deserve a shout out because they helped form me into the person I am today.

To my past self, I thank you for being strong. I thank you for giving me courage to keep fighting forward. You were an emotional wreck at times, but I see now that you have to hit rock bottom before you can soar to the top again. I thank you for never letting me truly give up. You are incredible.

To my family/parents, thank you all for being great. Thank you for giving me everything you could. I know I drive you all crazy, but I do it out of love. I am just trying to figure out this thing called life. You have all pushed me to succeed; to reach my goals. I honestly would be lost in this world if I did not have each and every one of you.

To my ex, thank you for hurting me. Thank you for showing me what a guy is not supposed to do during our relationship. You were my best friend, and I trusted you with every piece of my soul. I honestly despise you strongly. You made me feel worthless, like a piece of shit. You are a liar and player. You mentally abused the hell out of me. You may not think so, but you did. It's a shame though that you and your mother had to lie. You could have had something good, but you ruined that. You disrespectful bastard. I have so much anger and hate towards you. I hope that I am never in your presence again.

To the love of my life, thank you for choosing me. Thank you for showing me how I SHOULD be treated. Thank you for showing me what love truly is and means. Yes, we have had our ups and downs, but I would not want to do life with anyone else. You made me happy again. I feel like a million bucks with you. Thank you for understanding me, and knowing that I am a work in progress. I am truly blessed that you came into my life. I will choose you every day for the rest of my life.

To my best friends, thank you for never giving up on me. You girls mean the world to me. We always have a great time together. We laugh until we are crying. You both are great to my boys, and I am glad you chose to be in their lives. Some people left, and that is alright. The true ones stay no matter what. I appreciate everything you two have done for me. I value our friendships to the highest level.

To my future self, you will kick ass. You will succeed in every single thing you put your mind too. You are a determined yet restless person. You will push through any situation that comes your way because you ARE strong and you CAN do it. Never let anyone put you down. You are worth so much. Nothing and nobody will stop you. Roll with the punches, and know that not everything can go exactly how you planned it to and that's okay. Always move forward, and do not look back.
