Valentine's Day for Single People

Everyone knows that Valentine's Day is the day where couples go all lovey dovey and make it painfully obvious for the rest of us single people that we're alone. So in light of that, here's a list of things for an awesome Valentines day for that forever alone person.

1. Alcoholic Ice Cream

That's right people, Haagen Dazs Ice Cream released a new brand of delicious desserts that actually has alcohol in them and chunks of whatever delicious dessert you decide to get. My personal favorite is Vodka Key Lime Pie. You can find these at your local Walmart, select Food Basics, and the odd gas station. The best part? No ID required to buy. Take the sweet treat and add it to a blender with more alcohol and you've got a great alcoholic milk shake too.

2. Anti-Valentine's Day Alcoholic Drinks

Here are just a few alcoholic drinks that you can have to keep your night going. Or you know...just go to a bar or chug an entire bottle of whatever's on hand.

Cupid's Broken Arrow

• 3 oz. Three-O Mango Vodka
• 1/2 oz. Triple Sec
• 1 oz. cranberry juice
• Splash of fresh lime juice

Shake ingredients with ice and strain into a glass. Garnish with a cherry.

Love on the Rocks

• 1 ½ oz. Three-O Cherry Vodka
• 4 oz. ginger ale
• Splash of grenadine

Shake ingredients with ice and strain into a glass. Garnish with a cherry.

X-Boyfriend

• 8 oz. Pucker Cherry vodka
• 4 oz. cranberry juice
• 2 oz. triple sec
• Dash lemon juice
• Cherries for garnish

Toss a few cubes into your martini glasses or set in freezer for a few minutes to chill. Meanwhile, in a cocktail shaker filled with ice, mix all ingredients. Shake it like you mean it and strain into martini glasses. Garnish with a cherry and serve. (Serves four)

Shot Of Love Stinks

• 1 oz. Grape vodka (We used Three-O Grape Vodka)
• ½ oz. Black raspberry liqueur
• ½ oz. Cranberry juice

Add all ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake. Strain into a chilled shot glass.

Deep Chocolate

• 1 ½ oz. Cachaca (We used Leblon Cachaca)
• ½ oz. Jago Cream Liqueur
• ½ oz. Navan
• 4 oz. Chocolate (You can use hot chocolate made with powder or syrup)
• Whipped cream
• Chocolate shavings

Mix all ingredients in a tall handled glass. Pour and thoroughly stir in the hot chocolate mixture. Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.

Adios Motherfucker

• ½ oz. Vodka
• ½ oz. Rum
• ½ oz. Tequila
• ½ oz. Gin
• ½ oz. Blue Curacao liqueur
• 2 oz. Sweet and Sour Mix
• 2 oz. Lemon/Lime Soda
• 1 Maraschino cherry
• 1 Lemon slice

Pour all ingredients except soda in chilled glass filled with ice cubes. Top with soda and stir gently. Garnish with a maraschino cherry and lemon slice.

Bitch

For all the wine lovers out there. Bitch South Australia is a great addition to any night.

3. Food

In the end there will be food. Do NOT go out. Order in, cook something, buy a quick meal before you head home. Or just demolish an entire Dairy Queens Valentine's Day cake because you know...why not? Here's a list of do's and don't's foods to grab for this day.

Do's

• Cake - Any kind. Eat the entire thing. No one's gonna see you.
• Pizza - Something quick and easy which will help soak up the booze so you can avoid alcohol poisoning. Pizza's got your back.
• Mac'N Cheese - A childhood favorite which lets you know you're not alone.
• As much chocolate as possible
• Any snack food
• Anything deep fried - Mix it up a little. Combine some stuff on here. Deep fry a chocolate bar. Deep fry a pizza. Let your creativity and self loathing go wild.
• Just eat your comfort food. Do it. No ones gonna care.
• Garlic bread - You're alone who's there to judge your breath.

Don'ts

• Aphrodisiacs - Asparagus, oysters, pomegranates, avocado, chili peppers, watermelon, coffee, honey, bananas, chocolate. I mean you can but be warned so will most other people. People doing couply things. Although chocolate is just a must.
• Anything in the shape of a heart (unless you got heart-shaped candy)
• Your Ex - Not in a creepy cannibal way just don't have sex with them.

4. Movies and TV

Well you need something to do other than crying and stuffing your face. Why not watch something?

Movies
