Why You Should Never Give Up on Your Closest Friends

This a story based on me and my two closest friends.

Well I'm not too sure on how to start as this is my first story on Vocal, but anyways, I will start off by saying that I have known one of these two friends for nearly eight years and we have been through thick and thin together and we consider each other family. But anyways let's rewind to the start of November last year...

In my personal opinion, November was one of the WORST months of 2017 for me. Let's start with beginning of November, my friend of eight years and I had a argument which left us both hating each other. As a result, my other closest friend was torn between the both of us and she didn't 'really' pick sides. At this time, bonfire night was just around the corner and my friend and I decided to go to this car racing kinda place for bonfire night with some of our other friends. To start off the night it was pretty decent, but with my luck it wasn't gonna be good for much longer. To sum it up, we were all sitting on the stands, watching the racing, when all of a sudden they started to throw Dr Pepper absolutely everywhere. I suddenly ran away and knelt down to hide. As I kneel down, my phone decided to gracefully fall out of my pocket, through a little gap in the stands and proceeded to fall roughly about 20 ft to the floor, which was concrete. I freak out and run down the stairs and find my phone, which of course was COMPLETELY smashed. It didn't work and when put it on charge it began to heat up rapidly in the general area of the camera...

Moving on to the next few days of November, me and my closest friend of eight years proceed to have several big arguments which were very childish. My friend had a horrible year. To be quite honest she had a series of very much unfortunate events. She was quite depressed and every little thing I did wrong she would take out on me and start arguments. I didn't really have any care for her at this time and thinking back on it, I tried to find every little thing that I could to turn against her. I feel so ashamed that I did this but I didn't understand at the time and I really regret it now. Don't get me wrong, I was with her through her toughest times and when she was finding everything I did wrong, it really upset me. I got upset because it felt like she didn't care about me even though I had done so much for her.

To be completely honest I can't really remember too much of November as it was so bad and I've tried to forget about it. But that month taught me to be a much better person. Before that month, I had changed drastically and didn't upset people as much. But November truly changed me for real. By the end of 2018 me and my friend of eight years were pretty much okay. I could have easily left her that month, but I chose to stick around and stay with her, even though we were causing each other so much trouble. I'm so glad that me and her are back to how we used to be because last year we weren't the friends we were before. I'm so happy that I kept her in my life and didn't push her away because I found the people who I really need to stick with and the people who mean the most to me. My two closest friends, I tell them pretty much everything and they probably know more about me than my parents do. They mean a lot and I love them as friends so, so, so much. The moral of this story is that no matter how hard times get, you've got to stick together and help each other out no matter the situation. There will be light at the end of tunnel you've just got to wait and find it...
