'Will You Be My Valentine?'

I kissed him goodbye and then jumped on the bus. I ran to get a window seat so I could watch him go.

My alarm went off and so I hit the button repeatedly until it stopped. I checked my phone and smiled as I saw his name on my screen.

It wasn't a dream, it was really him! I told myself for the fifth time this week. I laid there in bed smiling, replaying the whole day in my head.

I stood there at the entrance of the shopping center as I watched him walk towards me. I couldn't help but smile. He looked at me and just opened up his arms without saying a word and held me in his embrace. It was perfect, and then he whispered "I need to pee," and we both just broke into laughter. I looked at him one more time and then let go and I began to speed off. "Come on, hurry up," I said to him as he waddled behind me.

Once we left the toilets we went for breakfast in his favorite coffee shop. We sat there talking, but I was suddenly hit with shyness and couldn't bring myself to look at him without smiling uncontrollably. He was used to it. I always got shy when we first met. He just smiled and made his jokes as he always did.

He then bought me a hot chocolate and a muffin, which I made him drink as I ate the muffin. He moved from his own chair to share a chair with me as I sat over him and our legs intertwined. He wrapped his arms around me, pulling me close to him, and I wrapped my arms around his neck as I gazed into his eyes.

We sat there for an hour or two talking, laughing, and just being our stupid selves. You wouldn't know it had been over a year since we were last like this with each other.

We then went to our favorite milkshake shop and had our usual order— strawberries and meringue, oh god, it's so beautifully sweet. He took me to Lush and bought me a Valentine's bath bomb. We were flirting as we always do. It wasn't even on purpose, that was the funny part; it just happened, so naturally we were asked a few times that day if we were together. We both just smiled and laughed and repeated "We are just close friends."

We spent the day just hanging out and being children, playing mini golf and just walking around town. We then found a small coffee shop and had some lunch there. We sat there and talked about everything, we laughed and cuddled and eventually, we broke our rule.

We kissed.

It was breathtaking and passionate. It was everything every romance movie had ever made the perfect kiss to be like. After that, we couldn't keep away until we finally pulled away and he looked and me and asked: "Will you be my valentine?"

We made our way back to his car and talked some more before I had to get the bus home.

Half an hour past and he walked me to the bus station. As we arrived, I turned around to face him and brought him closer and kissed him.

We stood there in everyone's way and I could hear people whispering and feel everyone's eyes on us, but I didn't care. Instead, I just kissed him more passionately than ever. A few moments passed, I pulled away and smiled, and then jumped on to the bus.

As soon as I got my ticket, I ran to get my seat next to the window and I smiled and watched him leave.

Ten minutes passed and the bus had just left the station and I called him

"Hey, everything okay?" —Him

"No... I miss you." —Me
