The Wonders of Retirement: Moving Overseas
Ah....the wonders of retirement and the chance to finally be able to relax. After many years of work to achieve a long term goal of making a difference and bringing the greater good to the community, one is finally able to relax. Most people would decide to stay in the same community they've worked in during their years. There are some people that would like to go against the grain and decide to leave the country to live out the rest of their golden years. Sometimes going against the grain is a good thing especially if you want to explore and discover a whole new world beyond your backyard.

Native Injustice: The Education System in Indian Country - Part 4
Education is fundamentally important and vital to the growth of many people around the world. We used it to expand our everyday knowledge to create infrastructure, save lives, build better environments to enjoy, and live healthy, comfortable lives. It is a fundamental human right bestowed to all of us regardless of where we are and who we are and look like. However, on the other side of that coin, there are people around us that do not receive the quality education needed to succeed in this world. According to Article 26, Section 1 of the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights, “Everyone has a right to an education. Education shall be free, at least in the elementary and fundamental stages. Elementary education shall be compulsory. Technical and professional education shall be made generally available and higher education shall be equally accessible to all on the basis of merit”(www.un.org). This means that everyone has a right to access good quality education especially in the elementary and secondary levels of education.

Native Injustice: Antiquated and underfunded healthcare in Indian Country - Part 3
The Indian Health Service also known as IHS is the federal healthcare system for American Indian and Alaskan Natives. Established in 1787, the IHS was founded through special relationships between the federal government and all 574 federally recognized tribes in 37 states. There are 26 hospitals, 59 health centers, and 32 health stations in 8 states. The biggest concern is that some of these hospitals are in remote areas.

Native Injustice: Lack of Accountability and Jurisdictional Ownership - Part 2
In Indian Country, there are numerous federal, state, local, and tribal law enforcement agencies that have jurisdiction in numerous areas within and surrounding tribal lands and reservations. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have overall jurisdiction in Indian Country for criminal felony offenses. The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) law enforcement division has the duty to preserve law and order on tribal lands.

Native Injustice: The Neglected Reality - Part 1
There is a group of people that I feel the rest of the country forget and have overlooked for many years: Native Americans. As we get into a new year and are still dealing with a global pandemic, it is also time for us to address the many issues that Native Americans face every day. They are our fellow Americans whether we like it or not. Some of them have served honorably in our military and in many other aspects in this country. Yet they are living in conditions that are not livable to the average person.

Situational Awareness is the Key to Everyday Life
Situational Awareness is something everyone should actually have when it comes to being out and about with the rest of the general public. Having such a skill will protect you not only in the workplace but also everywhere else you go. It is very important to pay attention to your surroundings everywhere you go, including in your own home. I say in your own home because some of the household items you use everyday are hazardous materials.

Election Day 2020
Ah, good ole Election Day once again. The one day out of the year where people can fulfill their patriotic duty to vote for the people that are running for public office. They also get to vote in their state elections as well. The politicians in all levels of government this election should be more understanding in the issues that affect everyone as a whole. It is important for people who do not like the current officials in office are able to vote them out. That's the beauty of our right to vote in the United States and the democratic process.

Dawon's Restaurant Review
In the mountainside town of Estes Park, there are many restaurants and variety of shops that sit in the downtown area. The one restaurant that really caught my eye was the Wild Rose Restaurant that was across street from the other restaurant inside the Old Church shopping center. I decided to cross the street and go check out the Wild Rose for myself for an evening meal. While making my way towards the Wild Rose, I noticed the amazing decor along the walkway painted in pink with the vines along the lower part of the wall to represent both its distinctive European and American themes to represent the kind of food and variety of drinks they serve there.
