Get to Know Me (My Crazy Life) Pt. 2
"Physically, I'm here. Mentally I'm far, far away..." The Life Changing Move The moment I found out that my younger brother and I were moving to Virginia with our dad for good, I would be lying if I said I was ecstatic for it. Even though I remember the good times of my mother and father being together and married, I knew that they weren't getting back together again. After the divorce, I lived with my mom, and my younger brother Jacob for three years. I lived in a filthy house, the smell of dog and cat piss was overwhelming and unfortunately, since I was so young, I thought all of this was normal. In a way, I have grown used to that kind of lifestyle. No electricity, hot water, heat, food, taking baths in a laundry basket with my brother and heating water in the fireplace was the "normal" for us.

My Paranormal Stories
"If you're reading this, then you are blissfully unaware of what's creeping up behind you." Sierra Vista, Arizona This event happened twice in the same way. My brother and I were in the car on our way to my mom's boyfriend's house. When we got there, I remember the first time it happened. I was around eight years old at the time and my mom told us to wait in the car, and she would be right back. So my brother and I patiently waited, despite hating coming here. It was dark outside in a neighborhood further away from town with no street lights around us. I was talking to my brother and trying to keep him distracted so he wouldn't cause a scene while we waited for my mom to come back. I remember being creeped out being outside in the dark, but I was content because I at least had my little brother next to me. As time slowly passed, I was starting to get irritated by how long my mom was taking and that's when it happened.

Being a Step Mom
I may not have given you life, but life gave me you. - Unknown The Beginning First meeting your step children, I will admit that it's very difficult. You wonder what's crossing the line and what doesn't, if you can or can't discipline them if they do something wrong. There are a lot of things you can't help but wonder because technically they aren't your kid yet. The hardest part for me was having the mother still in the picture. It made things tense when I was around her. She constantly was talking to my boyfriend about her daily life, and he talked to her about things happening. I couldn't help but think "are they actually over?" It's especially hard when you don't have a kid of your own, because any time you suggest something that would benefit their kid, they always say, "You never had kids, you wouldn't understand."

How to Stay Organized
Having a clear mind and a clear space allows you to think and act with a purpose. -Unknown Making a List Making a "to-do" list for the day may seem too simple, but it's the most effective way to start your day off right. Every morning or even before bed, I'll make a list of what I need to do that day or the day before so I can stay on top of what I need to do. You can make a long or short list of what you want to do for the day. If you're new I would recommend staring off with a small list so you don't get too overwhelmed, all at once. A to-do list is a great way to accomplish what you need to do and stay organized.

What They Don't Tell You About Pregnancy
"A baby fills a special place in your heart that you never knew was empty." —Unknown Water Break I'm sure almost everyone out there has seen a labor scene in some sort of movie sometime in their lives. In the movies, it's always way exaggerated when the woman suddenly shoots water out of her lady bits and immediately goes into contractions. As a kid/teenager this always terrified me, maybe that's what the media wants to portray pregnancies to prevent so many teens from having kids. Whatever the case maybe, this is most defiantly not realistic what so ever. When your water breaks, you could either have a drizzle of water come out or more like the feeling of peeing yourself. It all depends on the person and how their bodies respond. For me, it felt like I had peed myself, stopped for a couple seconds and then start again and this time it didn't stop. Following my water breaking, I didn't get the shooting pain of contractions like in the movies.

A Letter to My (Younger) Self
The only way to achieve the impossible, is to believe it's possible. - Alice Through the Looking Glass Younger Me I know things seem impossible to mend with Dad, but I promise that with time and effort to make things right, he will come through. I know you're struggling trying to find the "balance" of what's right and what you should do, but know that with every impulsive action, there are consequences. I miss how I used to be, the young and carefree self I once was, the friends from high school that I used to "hang" out with once I graduated. I miss the new friends I made that I knew had my back, but because of the move to Arizona, you will have a daughter you've always wanted and dreamed about growing up.
